What we
do
If you have not heard of PostModernistMusic before, I can tell you that we believe in music for the listener who
isn't easily satisfied with mainstream music. It's for the listeners who are
willing to travel thousands of kilometers to meet people who live and love the
music, and the music defines their lifestyle.
Why we do
it PostModernistMusic
represents the mood and feeling you would find at the Love Parade. The kind of
mood and experience you would find at Ibiza, where everyone comes together for
the common love of good music. PostModernistMusic will never be about getting
in the top40 or billboard charts. Instead PostmodernistMusic will continue to
do its best to give you good music, honest music, music from our hearts and
souls.
Where can
I buy the music? PostModernistMusic at the moment, given away free for personal
listening & music sharing. Listen to it, share it,
smoke it, enjoy it, just don't sell it or use it commercially. We believe music
should always be an expression of who you are. So if you are a tight ass, you
probably won't care either way, but if you are an honest balanced person in
good standing, you will probably want to know where you can buy PostModernistMusic. I am sorry to
tell you that you can't buy it at all (at least not yet). However you can give
something back to the band as a donation. Give as much or as little as you
like, just give something. Give more than 25€ and you will received a custom CD
with many published and unpublished PMM tracks, and a autographed photo of the
band members. The most important thing is signing up on our Facebook fans page, and getting other people to sign up
and show their support for our music.
Remix us This is yet another shabby attempt at giving something back to our fans –
or rather get our fans involved in our shabby doings… Yes, this is an
invitation to all of you dedicated souls out there who want to take part in the
PostModernistMusic legacy!
We feel this is a chance at beating us at our own game. For those about to
remix – we salute you!

Sorry to send this type of message but i really need some help with this project I am working on.
Its no secret that I have been trying to raise money for the new youth airsoft club ATAPOC Ry in Oulu. Its also no secret that I have been in a motorcycle accident just a day before writing this letter to all of you.
Before my accident, I had planned to provide two weeks of my private time, fund raising, for this awesome group of airsoft playing youngsters. Unfortunately, I am not in the best physical condition to do that now. So rather than being out on the street canvassing my brothers, friends, and colleges, I thought I would ask many of you to help contribute to our fund raising effort.
We were half way to our goal the day of my accident. Two weeks of light-duty may mean not reaching the goal we set out to reach, when we started, and wont get to move into our new clubhouse. Now that you know what I am talking about, I'm going to ask you for some money.
if each of my friends gives us 5$, 5£ or 5€, the club will meet its goal and life happily goes forward for these young people. Anyway, just to make it clear, we will take whatever you are willing to give. Anyone who will give us a donation will receive some very cool PostModernist Music, along with some music from The Lounge Lovers.
If that's not good enough, jsut tell me your favourite songs from any of my projects, and I will be happy to make you a custom mix of those songs and a few more bonus tracks.

Petra introduced me to fawm.org Each February fawm.org forges a collaborative community where thousands of musicians of all walks and skill levels attempt to write an album's worth of new music during the shortest month of the year.
Well for the past 5 days I have been busting my chops to meet the challenge! I really don't care if i succeed or not, but I am very interested to see what comes out from it all.

Sun, 21 Feb 2010 12:52:27 +0000 - A close friend of mine sent me an sms message this morning. He said he had been listening to my music during a quiet party with some close friends last night.
The message was going quite well until he said "Julian, there is not enough grass in the world that would allow the average person to understand what the hell your music is all about, but don't give up brother, because I love what you do!".
Although this really isn't the point, I jokingly responded to him "Try mushrooms!".
Anyway, his message is what's its all about. That one person, somewhere out in the world, who takes a quiet moment to listen and hear what its all about.
For the past few weeks, I have been quite busy working on PPM, a new Lounge Lovers track, and and and. Next week I will put my focus on Solo and his projects, hopefully getting him the beats he needs, while I am remixing Constellation. Lots of work, but its all worth it (isn't it?).
The link is to one of the tracks my buddy and his friends were listening to.
Its called Structure! Its a dark chill-out track, about breaking up, picking up the pieces, and putting ones life back together.

Sat, 17 Oct 2009 05:26:00 +0000 - For the past couple of months, I have been working with someone who truly understands the art of making music. Most of you know that The Lounge Lovers has and will remain a special project in my life and heart. What most of you didnt know was getting The Lounge Lovers to get something going, was like pulling teeth. Person issues, confidence issues, ...
What I am trying to say is, I needed something else than The Lounge Lovers as an uncomplicated artistic release of pleasure and love. Something to get out the frustrations of The Lounge Lovers, without ending up hating my band mates. t was increasingly looking like growing a vagina, and giving birth would be more likely than The Lounge Lovers moving forward. Now I have found the perfect way to express myself.
From the first day we sat down in the studio, I knew that we had something. There was energy, there was interaction, the whole process was dynamic and flowing. That was something we never had with The Lounge Lovers. ALthough the process is in its infancy, the results have far surpassed my work with The Lounge Lovers this far.
This time next week, we will have released our first track together. Its a cover from one of our own instrumental tracks, but our singer brings fourth something wonderful, something pure, something real.
So dont give up on the music just yet. The Lounge Lovers may have slowed down a bit, but Post Modernist Music is alive and well.
Besides, who knows, The Lounge Lovers might evolve sometime soon.
Tue, 06 Oct 2009 21:01:52 +0000 - These days I tirelessly work in my studio to produce everything my heart has to offer. As I bother friends and family with my music, I love their patience and appreciation of the music I share with them, no matter how good or bad it is.
As so often is the case, I would write something witty in preparation of impending arrival of my latest release. Not this time. This time I simply want to tell you that all of the songs are in one post, one note, one single place where you can indulge your senses and entrap your perception, squired by the magical sounds of these seemingly inconceivable track.
With all my heart, I give you my music.
